Fantastic people to work with couldn’t ask for anything more thank you again!!!
From 1991 to 1996 Gary Norris ran the in-house trial department for American States Insurance in Portland. For the thirty years since he has been on the other side of that table, representing injured people across Yamhill County and the Willamette Valley.

Oregon trial attorney since 1982, licensed in Washington since 2003, in McMinnville since 1996.
4.8 from 55 Google reviews, more than any other law firm in McMinnville.
Selected to Super Lawyers, personal injury, McMinnville, Oregon, every year since 2020.
We are a civil trial firm. We aggressively represent those seriously injured in accidents, and we fight for insureds who have been unfairly treated by their insurance company. Our goal is always to resolve our client’s case as favorably and as quickly as possible.
We take each case through a jury trial, or resolve it through settlement before suit is ever filed. No charge for the first consultation, and no fee unless we recover.
A licensed trial attorney in Oregon since 1982 and Washington since 2003, Mr. Norris has litigated hundreds of civil and personal injury cases to conclusion.
Most of our work begins with a phone call from someone who has just been hurt and does not yet know whether they have a claim. There is no charge for that conversation.
Crash claims against the at-fault driver, from the police report to the demand.
Claims on your own policy when the at-fault driver has no insurance or not enough.
Claims by the estate and family when a death was caused by someone else's fault.
Injury claims for riders struck by drivers who failed to yield or see them.
Claims for people struck while walking, in or out of a crosswalk.
Falls caused by a hazard the property owner should have removed, and the evidence that disappears fast.
Hiring an attorney now helps ensure that your legal rights are protected. You will probably be contacted by the other driver’s insurance adjuster, who may offer you money now to settle your claim for good.

There is no charge for the first conversation. We listen, and we tell you whether you have a claim.
Once you hire us, our firm immediately contacts the insurance company in writing and prevents any further contact with you.
We revoke any medical authorizations you may have signed. This protects your privacy, so that your claim can be settled fairly when you are ready.
Our office can evaluate a fair settlement and protect your rights to recover when the time is right.
Beyond injury claims, we are a civil trial firm and the law firm people in Yamhill County call first. Each has its own pages.
A civil trial firm since 1982, in Oregon circuit courts, Washington and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. Trial lawyer, civil lawsuits, civil litigation and arbitration each have their own page.
One attorney, one office, since 1996. Legal consultation and personal injury law are the two things we do as a law firm, each explained on its own page.
These are simply examples of past recoveries we have obtained. Every client’s case is different. These results do not indicate what we may be able to recover on other cases.

If you need to deal with an insurance company then you need an attorney. Gary is straightforward and fights to get you fair resolution. I reccomend Gary and should I ever need to make an injury claim again, wouldn't hesitate to use him.
Straight answers to the questions injured people in Yamhill County ask us first. If yours is not here, ask us. The first conversation is free.

We don’t charge for the initial consultation. If you hire us we would take a percentage of any recovery. If there is no recovery you pay no attorney’s fee.
Hiring us now ensures that your legal rights about your injury claim are protected. You will probably be contacted by an insurance company claims adjuster for the at-fault driver. They may offer you a very small sum of money now to settle your injury claim. They will also insist that you sign a paper that will allow them to get all your personal medical and employment records.
Don’t do either of these things! What the adjuster won’t tell you is that if you say yes to their small offer, you just permanently signed away all your legal rights and you are prevented from any further recovery, even if you find out later that you are hurt much worse than you first thought (which is very common). Signing the paper to allow them to get your records lets them dig into every little thing that happened in your life going back to the day you were born, which is none of their business.
When you hire us, we immediately contact the insurance company in writing. After that they can’t talk to you anymore. They have to go through us. We also immediately cancel any authorizations you may have signed. This protects your privacy, so that your claim can be settled fairly when YOU are ready, not on their terms.
Most injury cases are resolved without ever going to court. In fact, a great many are settled before a lawsuit even has to be filed. Some insurance companies are more stubborn and unfair than others. We’re happy to file a lawsuit and pursue it vigorously, if that’s what it takes to get the insurance company’s attention.
Great question! Another reason it is so important to have an attorney working for you to protect your rights. Generally, if the accident happened in Oregon, you have no more than 2 years from the date of the accident to either settle your claim or file a lawsuit in court. If you don’t, all your rights will be lost forever. An experienced law firm like ours has the expertise to evaluate the facts and determine what time period applies to your claim, and then either settle your case or file suit within that time. These time periods are called “statutes of limitation”. If you let the statute of limitations expire, you lose your case simply because you let the clock run out. Don’t do that. Hire us and we will take care of it.

No charge for the first consultation and no fee unless we recover for you.
